Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

When you first visit getworkbee.com, we ask for your consent before setting any analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or contacting us at privacy@getworkbee.com.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use the site. We also use localStorage (similar technology) to remember your cookie consent choice.

2. Cookies on getworkbee.com (marketing site)

Essential cookies

These are always active — they are necessary for the site to function correctly.

  • wb_cookie_consent (localStorage) — Stores your cookie consent preference (accepted / rejected). Duration: until cleared. Set by: WorkBee.

Analytics cookies (consent required)

These are only set if you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

  • _ga — Google Analytics 4. Distinguishes unique visitors. Duration: 2 years. Set by: Google.
  • _ga_N9MTRC85GS — Google Analytics 4. Maintains session state. Duration: 2 years. Set by: Google.

Google Analytics data is anonymised — IP addresses are not stored. See Google's Privacy Policy for more information.

3. Cookies on app.getworkbee.com (dashboard)

The WorkBee dashboard uses cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session.

  • sb-[project]-auth-token — Supabase authentication token. Keeps you logged in. Duration: Session / 1 week. Set by: Supabase on behalf of WorkBee.
  • sb-[project]-auth-token-code-verifier — PKCE security token for authentication flows. Duration: Session. Set by: Supabase.

These authentication cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service. They are set only when you log in and are required for security. No consent banner is shown for these.

4. Managing your preferences

Change your analytics consent

To change your analytics cookie choice on this website, clear the "wb_cookie_consent" key from your browser's localStorage and reload the page. The consent banner will reappear.

In Chrome: DevTools → Application → Local Storage → getworkbee.com → delete wb_cookie_consent.

Browser cookie settings

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent the WorkBee dashboard from working correctly (authentication requires cookies). Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies while keeping first-party cookies — this is a reasonable middle ground.

Google Analytics opt-out

You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block Google Analytics tracking across all websites.

5. Third-party cookies

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies. We do not place third-party cookies without your consent.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we add or change the cookies we use. Material changes will be notified via the website cookie banner and by email to registered users.
